Sony’s First 3D Games Land Tomorrow

If a shiny TV, glossy console, and speakers big enough to drown out Rosanne Barr aren’t enough to satiate the techno geek gaming faction, then the news that Sony’s first stereoscopic 3D games are to be released tomorrow should just about do it – at least for now.

Confirmed on C&VG, the PS3′s collection of stereoscopic 3D games will include WipEout HD, SuperStardust HD, Pain, and a single level demo of the gorgeous looking MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and will be available to download from the PlayStation Store for £23.99 from tomorrow.  Gamers who already own these titles needn’t despair however since there will be a free patch available to upgrade them.

“Stereoscopic 3D technology coupled with the likes of PlayStation Move motion controller allows us to create an ever more compelling, realistic and immersive experience.”  Said SCEE President Andrew House.

So should Dead Space ever get 3D-ified, prepare for as many heart attacks as geek-gasms.
